Latest research from travel experts Planet Cruise reveals that Bryant Park Winter Village, New York is the world’s best Christmas market for the second year in a row whilst Britain and Germany are the most festive countries with 14 Christmas markets each.

Here’s their top ten best Christmas markets –
Taking the top spot for the second year in a row, with 23,854 TripAdvisor reviews and open for 68 days, is Bryant Park Winter Village in Manhattan, New York. Centrally located, the park features a free-admission 17,000-square-foot ice-skating rink against the stunning backdrop of skyscrapers and manicured gardens. With 180 stalls in the village from a wide range of vendors.
Knocking London’s Winter Wonderland off last year’s second place, is Munich’s Marienplatz (Münchner Christkindlmarkt.) With 25,618 TripAdvisor reviews and 50 stalls, the market dates to the 14th century, making it one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany. The market includes attractions, such as the Kripperlmarkt, whose ten stalls offering exclusively Nativity items.
