Jaguar’s entry into the electric car market with the high-speed I-Pace SUV is turning heads, and eco-minded motorists are digging deep to order this very fast and beautiful motor.

We have test-driven the I-Pace UK-wide and found it quietly did everything we asked, including high-speed motorways, narrow, winding roads of the Peak District and rain-swept Scottish Lowlands.

We loved the vehicle’s great looks, spaciousness, very responsive steering and easy driver controls. The I-Pace has been upgraded to deliver 290 miles per charge – perfect for quick trips – like my short hop up the Old Great North Road to Barnby Moor near Retford, where the I-Pace, multi-winning awards winner and World Car of the Year in 2019,  went down very well with admiring farming locals.

Good Holiday highly rates Jaguar’s twin electric-engine supercar and its Wow-factor technology. It‘s so easy to love and so easy to drive – I sat in the spacious driver’s seat and silently and speedily drove off, something I could never do in other electric cars or hybrids.

The I-Pace costs circa £65,000 but with close to zero re-fill costs, drivers will love the typical good-looking latest Jaguar.  Here are the I-Pace good points –

• WOW connectivity: Dual-modem embedded SIM with 4G data plan, wireless device charging, embedded Spotify, and Bluetooth for two phones at the same time
• WOW technology: A new 3D surround camera and ClearSight rear-view digital mirror give drivers unimpeded visibility
• Passenger wellbeing: Cabin air ionisation with PM2.5 filtration captures ultrafine particles and allergens. The I-PACE can filter cabin air while on charge before a journey
• New Bright Pack option: accentuates I-PACE’s World Car of the Year award-winning design
• Enhanced software-over-the-air capability: Systems including infotainment, battery management and charging can be updated remotely and enable the
